which ramp for a 40shot?

hi fellows!! i am currently sitting in front of my nitrous controller software trying to imagine how a 40 shot would feel like

i actually configured this ramps (red = 2nd // blue = 3-6)

...but i am not sure how hard a 30-40shout would feel in 2nd. wheelbase is stock, front end lowered 1-2 inches, stock gearing. are there any recommendations?

I used to spray exactly that amount. Spray it in 2nd gear and I'd get barely a loft of the front wheel....went to carbon wheels and it would come up a little more.

Start in 3rd your first few times. I was lowered about the same as you too so its pretty fun. I didn't have a controller then...I'd just smash the horn button and GOOOOOOOO!!!!

unless you hit it in first i doubt you really need a controller at 40 hp with that gearing

nitrous

hey fellas, i'm thinking about adding a 40 dry shot also. i don't race, just want it for the adrennaline rush every now and then. bike has muzzy full exhaust, exstended 10 inches. i'm a big guy also. i've heard a 40 shot is very safe. someone was also saying that you don't really need a controller for a 40 shot, just the horn button. who out there is running a dry 40 shot without a controller. and how has your bike held up and how long. Encourage me!

dry 40 shot is no problem for a 12 for years and years. Ryan Schnitz just dyno'd mine with a 40 shot this month, here's the dyno sheet.

lookin kinda lean for a nitrous map. in the real world thats gonna be even more lean when the ram air is kicking in. im in no position to tell ryan schnitz how to do his job, but i'd be tuning for at most 12:1 on nitrous especially on a dyno. whereas you are over 13:1 at peak torque. just my opinion... maybe im being paranoid

Les,

I just stumbled on this old thread, thought i'd respond so people didn't get the wrong impression...

This is not a pump gas tune, I had Ryan set this up for 116 octane race fuel, that may be why he was able to lean the a/f mix out.
