Has anyone experienced shaking from 3rd gear roll-on? If so what was your solution.

Steering damper guys... Scott's issupposed to have a kit for the "02" soon!

Zuk...The reason why your getting the head shake is because of a few reasons...
HorsePower...
The suspension on the '02 is softer and needs to be set up correctly...
The rear spring needs to be turned clockwise 3 turns...
Turn up the rebound, compression and preload...
Drop the forks 1/2 inch...

No more head shake and didnt cost you $300.00 for a steering damper!!!

My 02 is pretty much set up the way Crotch Rocket said minus the rear....I left that pretty much stock.....

Scotts Steering damper

I just emailed Scotts Performance inquiring about a steering damper for the 02. They replied and told me that they don't have one for the 02/03 yet. They said the problem is "the damn tank is to close to the steering stem." They said they have been experimenting with different things and still haven't got it worked out yet. They said to keep checking back.

Make sure your tires are inflated correctly. If they are not, it cna cause this type of a problem.
