Oddly it takes 2 to 5 pushes of the starter button to start the bike. It starts every time but it’s so odd. Just buzzes when pushing button and then finally it starts.

It was suggested the starter relay is going so I changed it to a new one...same issue.

The low voltage connector to the relay is a bit melted but looks intact for wiring. It fits the connection ok.

New starter motor also.

All that wiring is hard to acccess inside the battery box, kind of a ridiculous way to have a battery

Any thoughts?

I would like to replace that low voltage connector and wire in a new one just in case it’s corroded inside but can’t find a part number

Hah saw it another thread, wow it’s dead on this site?

I took apart my button start and lo and behold corrosion between the contacts. A little emery cloth between the contact points and some wd40. Bam it starts first push. If anyone else has this issue start there. Costs nothing
