I own a 2001 KE100 with CDI ignition. The stator for charging the battery, running headlight and all the other lights is shot. Looking at the Kawasaki service manual, it states the ohm reading across the yellow wires should be between: 0.15 - 0.22 ohms. I was getting 0.5 ohms. Couldn't find a NOS ( New Old Stock) stator, nor a used one that fell between those ohm specs. I tore off the old wire on the tri- lobe iron core and attempted to rewind the stator myself. Didn't work. Couldn't find anyone to professionally rewind it. Also, can't find an aftermarket stator to work. Looks like my only options are to either keep looking for a good used stator or convert to 12 volts. Any suggestions?
