Hi all, this is my first forumn post, so forgive me for being new. I have a 2000 ZX9 E1 edition that is currently big bored to a 936cc, has Ohlins rear suspension, muzzy full stainless exhaust, Scott's steering Dampener and numerous other upgrades. My transmission started to go recently, i.e second gear drops into neutral under acceleration about 90% of the time. I found a 2001 zx9 transmission locally and was wondering if anyone had done this before or had any commentary on if its a straight switch or if I need to modify parts to fit. Any assistance is appreciated....thank you. Again I am essentially wondering if a 2001 zx9 transmission is swappable into a 2000 E1 Zx9. Again thank you in advance!
