Hi all. I just bought a 2003 Zx-12r and it needs a new speedometor. Can anyone tell me if there is a difference in the 01-06 instrument panels for zx12r? Also, if I replace the console with a used one, will the odometer continue on with the previous bikes mileage? Lastly, is the console as simple as it seems to disconnect the broken one and plug in the new (used) console and does anything have to be done at the ecu? I appreciate any help or insight. Thanks.

I believe they are the same, just have some styling differences. You can double check by going here Ronayers.com Fiche Desktop Motorcycle Kawasaki and comparing the part numbers of the Contol Boards.

If you swap you will lose your mileage and get whatevers on the new one.
Fitting is simple 3 nuts and a plug, nothing needs to be done at the ECU.
