Hi all,
The Other day I was riding my 2007 Vulcan 900 Custom to work (like most mornings) and I noticed the FI Light began flashing about 20 mins or so into the ride.
My Bike has about 47K miles on it and I ride it regularly, it doesn't sit for more than a few days at a time (weather permitting).
I continued riding as it didn't seem to affect the performance of the bike; there was no loss of power, no sluggishness, not stalling out, no problems at all.
I finished my ride to work (about 15 mins and 15 - 20 miles later).
Parked the bike and let it sit all day while at work.
Came out at end of day, started bike, no issue with FI light.
It's now been about 4 days and still no further issues with FI light.

I recently changed the Plugs (about a month ago) and cleaned and serviced the filter.

I have noticed that occasionally while idling it will want to stall out, but it's not a huge issue.

Any ideas on what is going on would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

IKE

If the Fuel Injection light comes on and doesn’t go out after 3-4 seconds before starting the bike and then remains on after the bike starts there is an issue with the fuel injection system. Here is a link to the factory repair manual to check for codes in the system. The manual is for the Classic but has the same engine and fuel system as your bike.
