I just installed 16/44 gearing; are you grabbing 5th before the traps? And with stock wheelbase, what are you launching at (approximately) 5500~6000? Finally, when using a 6" over arm, how do you adjust your launch technique for the longer wheelbase?

Thanks.

Where you go through the traps, and where you have to rev the bike off the line depends on your weight.

I go through the traps in 4th gear,and I leave @ 3500 with a stock arm, but I weigh 170.

I would guess with the 6 inch arm you would leave at 6000, if you are under 190.

Thanks Rickey, I'll give that a try. I weigh 185 and have been launching higher (5000) with stock wheelbase and 17/46. If my math is correct there isn't much difference between gear ratios with 17/46 (2.71) and 16/44 (2.75) except the wheelbase is slightly longer.

Here are a couple photos for others to view of the changes with the new gearing: www.dontbescaredracing.com/photos/gearing
