Does anyone have experience with using this on the zx-12?
I switched on my zx-9 (did x-ring) and saved 6 pounds with good wear results. I am somewhat leary on the 12. It's a lot cheaper than mag wheels.

I wouldn't even think about it.

The 12 has the chain it does for a reason.

I don't know if you've ever seen a chain break, but it is not a good thing...

6 pounds is a LOT of weight. Did you actually weigh the two chains?

not worth it - broken chain no fun. I've only broken them on the launch at the strip but have seen others break later or on the street. could be as simple as throwing the chain, breaking the sprocket housing, breaking the crankcase and the best of all locking up the rear wheel and putting the bike into a skid  .. no fun and not worth it.

weight

6 pounds includes changing to drilled alloy sprocket.
I have friends who use the 520 did erv chain on their gsxr 1000s. No problem. Is it a torque or hp issue?

I had to repair a busted case on my FJ1200 from a chain break. The 12, I don't even want to think about. I wouldn't do it on my bike.
