The auto tune is sort of working, it does throw up one or two issues. To get round them I just put a "0" in the AFR so it wouldn't change the settings. Then change the values man-drolicly.

1st day the bike was a pig loads of flat spots and stalled a lot. I could see the issue though and changed a few things and it was better. Then working out what was a good AFR at what revs and throttle position, trail and error.

Now it's possibly not as quick low down but much easier to ride in the slow corners, the snatchy harshness is going. Two of the corners on my way back home each day are tight slow 90 degrees, I use to have to pull the clutch in to get round. Now you can get round easily without the bike wanting to take off or stall/judder.

It's true though zx12's do like their fuel. Got a few more flat spots to sort out and get the tickover right. It can only get better if not just load an old map.

Guys, email me and I will send you the perfect map. Autotune, leave the 0 column column alone, enter nothing in it. It will load up bad. Email is [email protected]

Enclose your username here for reference in the email.

Also, only email if you are going to use it. I need testers as I have a product under dev.

J,

Not tried your map yet but mine getting better. Todays 19 mile ride turned into 50 mile one, one or two bits to sort out but hopefully the Autotune will start doing that. Its getting better much more ride able in those slower tighter corners and the slow (behind a old driver) up hill is now very controllable and smooth.

I'll load your map up next weekend but i might borrow parts off your to mod mine. As I've done that much higher throttle above 7000 rpm. Hopefully get access to the runway soon so that might change.

Just toss it. I am glad yours is working out. As I stated above, I needed people who were actually going to use it. It's a copyrighted map as well.

Good luck.

It can be in your contract with the dyno tuner, the same document that takes the blame away from they if the engine blows during the dyno. They can put it in the contract that the maps you pay for are only for you. Now, if they would go after you for sharing it, that is a different story. But, yes, it can be "copyrighted."

I get what you're saying and it makes perfect sense.
But tuners filing and applying for copyright on each and every map they create? I just dont see that happening.
And that would be a registered business/shop, not a guy at home thats plugged in his auto tune module.
Hence why I find it funny.

Yeah, the term copyright is being used incorrectly. I doubt you could even copyright a map. It is more breach of contract. I get why a dyno tuner wouldn't want you sharing your tune, as it takes business away, but once I have the tune I feel like it is up to me.

I shared my tune when I had my 12, I tried my best to not share it with anyone local (not that anyone local asked me), so my argument would be, it isn't like I took the tuner's customers away. I'm sure he would have to prove that I did in court, and I could then say, his proximity to anyone I shared it with made it so they weren't actually his potential customers anyway.

The thing that gets me, I specifically asked for people to TEST the map. The guy above emailed me and assured me that he would. He did not and "used" parts of an LLC business map, my businesses creation.

Yes, maps are the creation of the owner, me. Therefore they are firmly under copyright laws.

I would have never provided him with the map for testing purposes had he been up front and said I am not going to use it.

Same with music, art, or any other form of creation. No one wants to put time and effort into something and have it ripped off.
