I am looking at getting a D&D slip on for the 12 and have a question. Is the black satin finish one a painted aluminum can or is the black area a diffent material? I'm looking at one now and can't tell if I can polish the black paint off to bare alum or if it's a diffent material. Thanks....Rizzo

I have one and I think it's Black baked on finish on alum,

My best guess without taking a key to surface is that's it's alum, Contact D&D they would tell you.

Magnet does not stick to black painted area.

If Jessie Jame's had a ZX12R I'd ride with him.

When I had stock 18 tooth on front it had a small flat spot in RPM at 2000-2500. I do not notice it since installing 17 tooth.

If Jessie Jame's had a ZX12R I'd ride with him.

If you want to polish the black off why don't you just get the alum can?

It's a used can that I'm looking at. It has a couple of scuff marks on it and I would prefer the alum look anyway so if I can polish it that would make life easier...Rizzo

D&D slipon

I picked up a D&D slipon bout a week ago from Speedcrazy. He had never used it but had bought it used. I dont seem to see any problems with the slipon everything still works the same and now I make a lil noise too.If all you want is some louder exhaust note then the slipon is fine, but to make power you will need to spend some
cash on a full system. I saving now for the Ackra full system.

I Have A D&D Slip-on

I have the show-n-go polished aluminum slip-on and I installed it once the break in period was met. The first thing I noticed was the noise of course but also less smoothness over the stock can. It's real herky jerky at idle speed. If the damn stock can didn't sound like a sewing machine, I'd probably switch back to it.
