Which is a good thing because thats exactly what I wanted...

Under normal cruising conditions I would say it's not much louder than stock... It only gets 'heard' when you get on it...

I was in the back of the pack on Saturdays ride behind TBR and D&D slip-on's and a full Muzzy. I can say that I didn't hear my bike run all day....

Muzzys have a rep for being loud. I would say that that rep is well earned. However, they do sound really good... For me though, I wouldn't want every ride being on a bike that is that loud....

I have a full Muzzy on my 12 and an Akra slip-on on my R1 and there is quite (or is that quiet?) a difference. I like the Muzzy on my 12. It should sound like that. Adds to the whole montra of the 12 being the baddest MFer going. I've had a lot of guys ride with me say they really like the sound of the Muzzy on my 12. The Akra is much quieter until you jump on it then it explodes! I let a bud ride my R1 yesterday while I jumped on his TLR and he nailed the throttle and shot by me on the way home and it did sound rather pleasing. Can't get used to the twins' sound though. Felt like I was riding a sit-down lawnmower, allbeit a fast lawnmower.
Both the Muzzy and the Akra sound awesome under heavy throttle aps. Both look damn good and replace those ugly ass stock units and save alot of weight.
Can't go wrong with either in my opinion.

Hell...all pipes sound good to me.
Music to my ears.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
Even the stock hunk of steele pipe
sounds good under throttle.

I can sympathize -- I rode three bikes back from Mono's new MICRON this weekend and had to keep checking my gauges cause I couldn't hear if my bike was running.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Maybe next time I can play w/out my "better half" -- as you guys like to call her -- and can try to spend some time getting some of my PMB paint on Travis bike too. Ah yes, responsibility got the best of me and I had to hang back........at least that's what I tell myself.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Close to 100 deer killed daily just in Ohio on the road. I'm in a deer rich area. And a 200lb buck is normal, They grow big here also, If I had my druther's I'd perfer an exhust that purred down low and gave you the beejiva's on WOT,

But since I've put this D&D on I'v not once seen a living critter in the road, Including bird's. When I had the stock exhust I was constantly ducking bird's. Not duck's But bird's.

I like the sound of the Akra but here where I live, When I go full pipe. I may be forced to go with a Muzzy.

I need to hear a Hindle. In person.

My deer whistle is my bad ass big bore Kaw<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

If Jessie Jame's had a ZX12R I'd ride with him.
