You have to take the battery out!!!

Remove the tank from the bike and turn it upside down and empty it into a pail...

Nice to see you getting ready to fire it back up!!!

Getting the battery out is about a 40 minute job if you have done it before. Sucks with a capital S. No points to boost from as far as I know.

I dont know about a fuel revitalizer but I use a compound called STABIL in my tank when I am going to store the bike for the winter. Keeps your gas from turning into varnish. Fill it up, add the small amount of fuel stabiliser and its good for the 6 shitty months of winter we get here.

As far as using it after the fact... I dont know. Sorry.

While we're on the subject of batteries. I replaced mine last week but after a week of not having the battery in the box I forgot which way the wires, especially the stator wire routed. As a result I am having a really difficult time getting the battery cover back on (the metal plate with six bolts). I took it to the dealer to have them look at it (a Kawasaki dealer mind you) and it took two mechanics to figure out the battery. Then they still gave me wrong directions. Does anyone have a picture of the battery all hooked up before the plate is put back on? Or if anyone knows what I am talking about and can answer how the three wires get routed.
Thanks

I hooked up a charging cable that connects to a "Battery Tender" charger. I leave the cable on the battery all the time and tuck it under the tank. When I charge it, I pick out the cable (small with a cover pos terminal) and connect it up. It takes me 5sec to connect to a charger.
I would suggest doing that.

You may just want to siphon out the majority of the fuel the traditional way, (just try to remember when you were a kid and needed gas for your dirt bike, LOL)
Then fill it up with some good quality fuel and go for it.

Usually when I let me bike sit over the winter, I add fuel stabilizer before hand.

Have fun riding her again, Alien, and I am not talking about Alex, either way I am sure you will have fun. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

The jumper cable is not attached normally.

Most people find that with the bike level (on stands) that the site glass is half full after being run the first time and all the galleries filled.
