Due to unfortunate events, I'm replacing the right side plastic on my Green Meany. Should I spend the money on the black foam rubber pads that come stock inside the fairings? I don't even know for sure what the hell they are for. Gotta be sound deadening or vibration deadening I reckon. I replaced my left side plastic two years ago and left the pads off with no noticeable effects. What's up with these pads fellers?

I replaced the left side fairing and did not realize that the padding did not come with it when I ordered it, consequently it went on without it and I haven't noticed any vibration or increased heat. I'd say FORGEDABOUTIT!!!

dealer told me it was for heat insulation, keeps the paint on the ext of panel from peeling, bubbling, etc....

though I did not notice any problems with them missing on
my old green bike ( before incident )

heck, it even saves you some weight , when they are missing..

CR I was just gonna say the same thing. No padding on my 02.

Next question? Would be--But the 02 do'es have two fan's,

I felt about the same amount of heat as I did on the 01. As I do on the 02. There's not much of a temp difference between the two. Ninja Dude's fan seem to kick on more than mine. But run about same temp.

I would'nt put em back on.

If Jessie Jame's had a ZX12R I'd ride with him.
