I put helibars on my 12 right after I bought it, so I can't really contrast it to a standard 12. I just rode one for a few sessions on a BMW track day and it felt small, light and a bit tough on wrists and knackers. But, no worse than any other race replica bike. Performance is something else, handling is sweet and brakes are epic...well worth trying on a test ride, quite a machine! Too much of a track bike for me.
They keep teasing us with a flat bar, street version of the S1000RR, haven't seen a production one yet though.

That's what I thought but figured I'd ask anyway. And THAT is why the 12 is such an awesome machine--handles well, incredibly fast, and doesn't kill your ass, knees, wrists, and back while riding it.
