For the A1 6pot calipers the seals are not angled or directional. They can be installed in either direction when new.
The caliper itself is machined with the angle in the groove.
I believe the radial mount 4pots are the same.

I believe the 6 pot main piston seals are angled if there Kawasaki OE ones.

I’ve heard that also. That’s why I posted what’s in the manual. I seen on a zx10 forum that the seals
were said to be angled. I purchased the oem brembos and they are square. The caliper is machined at an angle. So unless the manual is incorrect, it doesn’t appear that the seals are angled.
I have Oem kaw seals for the rear caliper. They are square also.
If you pull your caliper apart and re-use the old seals
Then absolutely they have to go back in the way they came out. They will be molded by the angle in the groove.

That could explain the problem with no engagement until half way to the bar?
