I am definately thinking about it. There appears to be enough changes this time to make me want it. Alot of the issues look like they have been addressed. I don't know what I can get out of my bike, plus I have all sorts of extra stuff on it. Hopefully I will be able to pull most of the add-on off and put them on the new bike. Only thing is which color. Kind of partial to the red, but if I trade it in or sell it localy I don't want another red 12R running around.. Decisions Decisions....

I really don't know if I am ready to get the 02. I love the original 12 and a lot of the little problems have been resolved with my new pipe and PCIIIR but their are some updated that I really like about the '02 like the anti-vibration mirrors and the new front end look and espesially the front wheel cover! I am gonna wait and see what the people say who had the original 12R and then get the new '02 and see what they have to say! At that point I will decide to either get a used '02 or a hold over in '03 becuase I love getting a good deal on things! I don't know if I could deal if I would of paid 13000 (tax and set up and bike) for my bike then to find out you could get one for 8500 out the door the next year! I think I will wait and see!

Christ, I just bought my 2000 holdover in July. Guarantee if I were to trade in the 2000 already, Mrs. Blitz would bitch-slap me until I couldn't see anymore.

My baby.. after all the mods and work that has been done.. Plus I got it for 10,300 this May so it wasn't a bad deal..

Nah.. I can't justify it..

If anything I want both... and throw in something like a Gixxer 1000 and and a Road Bike while I'm at it for those days when I need something different.

Mix-er-up a little...

Anyone gonna buy me this shit.. nah.. But maybe I can find a sugar-mama..

Geez Doster, while you're at it at least ask for the Red Ferrari and Britney Spears (one night only on her, hearing her sing that Coca-Cola jingle while she brushes her teeth would get real annoying)...... and throw in a Lamborghini Diablo for too, please.

I just bought my 00 this past March (new). I like it too much even with its few problems to switch. There is so much to do with so much less money than it would cost to trade it or sale it and buy the 2002. I'll hold off for what ever comes out in 2003 before considering anything else.

Talked to a dealer in Franklin, Tn......burb of Nashville, who said the 02 s would probably retail for $10800....priced in line with the 'busa. I was kind of getting hot and bothered looking at the glossy color brochure.....I don't know?????

I look at it like this - the 2000 zx12r model is the first and the "rawest" and I tend to think the most powerful of them all. I'll take my 2000 zx12r to the grave with me and maybe a 2002 model "zx10r" as well.

I think the 02 12 will have smoother power, maybe a little easier to control throttle response, better aero's-for the rider, but they don't have to go 200 anymore. So, looks like Kawasaki will turn it into a Honda LFOL!!!!!!

I personally like the rough edge, raunchy power and stupid fast acceleration. And I am running 44/17 tooth sprocket. Thats what a Kawasaki is famous for.

4.41 pounds of extra flywheel effect could also hurt its handling a little bit.

More to follow I am sure.

Later..................................................../
