What is the best chain for drag racing and can a 520 be used?

Put one knee down for the curves and both knees down for GOD!

I recommend using the OEM chain... RK makes a DragRace chain but it doesnt have o-rings, it spins faster but you need to lube it with 90wt.oil...What a mess it makes!!!

Guys like Rickey Gadson use all the little tricks on the bike because of the competition!!! Us little guys dont need it...

I use a RK 530DR (no o rings), and lube it with Kwak racing chain lube, thin blue stuff. No fuss, no muss, but I lube it often.

Does anyone know the tensile strength of the stock 12R chain??

I assume it's 9000 or 10,000, at least in that area, but I want to be exact when comparing to 525's or 520 chain's so that I don't potentially lose any tensile strength.

I think I saw a DID *520 chain* with a whopping 9300-9500 rating on it's tensile strength. Amazing! (probably couldn't find the 520 sprockets to fit a 12R though!)

I'm useing a DID 520 ER chain on a ZX-7 about 12 passses and it still didn't need a chain adjustment. The chain rolls real smooth, the price is alittle salty but worth it!!!
