I know people sometimes get uncomfortable saying what they pay for stuff...but what would be a great price on a leftover 2016 H2?
If you don't mind telling me, and would rather PM it, please do... Doing some serious shopping.
Thanks!

Connman, you will NOT be disappointed to get one!

As far as pricing for 2016 model I couldn't say for the U.S.

I got a left over new 2015 H2 in April this year, our pricing in Aust. is obviously different, and we tend to pay more on imported vehicles anyway, but for whatever the conversion rate is I was offered my bike at $29k Aus. from an interstate dealer, new pricing is about $36k Aus. In the end what with tr,ansporting and registering in my state (it costs to have a bike, even new, transferred to another state here), I ended up paying about $33,400 Aus. This included a promotional Akrapovic slipon muffler/can. Maybe someone state side can help with more appropriate pricing - the 2017 model has some added features including autoshift for down shifting as standard, so maybe a 2016 can be haggled over? Mark on this board and Warp12 (if still around?) may be able to assist better.

Either way you will not regret getting one. It really is in a different league.

I have kept the 12 and only today did a ride on it after taking the H2 yesterday. Different bikes obviously but I enjoyed the more "relaxed" feel of the 12 - and this is with the 1287 build with cams blah blah blah etc. etc.

Keep us posted on your decision!!

Oh, and as far as not being comfortable with stating prices, I really don't care who knows, it is what it is, the only way I could afford it was through my superannuation after taking early retirement (large dent there now). It was a present to myself!!

Thanks Don!
Interesting...you your OTD price was just over $25,000 USD. The one I'm looking at is on sale for $23,999...(MSRP $26000) I guess I'll have to see how bad they want to sell it. ;)
The 17's here are running $28000.

This one that's close to me is $3K off... and I'm already planning on the RG62 performance plus kit - so there goes the 3K right back into it, lol
You guys both have 2015's? any improvements on the 16?
Any reason to spend an extra $5K for a 2017?

My view, no, but then I have the 2015 so I would say that Ha!

Mark is probably right, put the check on the table and they will likely be very happy to get "older" stock out the door.

If you are doing the RG62 mod then any of the years will be beyond stupid fast!!

I will now look very much forward to your decision.

You saw where Pierre (Bear Racing) is selling the parts direct off his website, for like half what Rickey is charging right? IIRC, Rickey was just taking Pierre's parts and reselling him under his name and upcharging.

Hey Hibs!
Yeah, that's probably so. I think it's just the whole package though... I still love looking at and riding the 12, but would love some of that new technology and styling!

Hibs, you are probably right about what can be done with money thrown at a 12, as i have with the engine on mine to a lesser degree than turbo applications etc., but as Connman said, for me too it is the whole package.

I was looking at either the H2 or a Panigale 1299S, which is the same price as the H2 here. Decided on the H2 for various reasons, one being its a Kwaka! and the novelty of having a super charged engine. Handling wouldn't compare to a Panigale, or many other newer sport bikes, but it is actually pretty good and I find I can hold a much tighter, smoother line in corners than with the 12. Probably due to advancement in the suspension and frame technology obviously.

I still have my 12 so get the best of both worlds, to me, of riding two iconic bikes!

So I ride the H2 down to the stadium to by Cardinal baseball tickets for my wife's birthday. Ticket window is 75 feet away from bike.I don`t even get my helmet off and some 20 something guy ambushed me and is flipping out over the bike. Thats the supercharged bla bla bla bike. I`m buy the tickets and he`s taking pics like its a movie star. They have never done that in the 17 years i`ve owned my 12r and 5 years on my 14r. It happens almost every time i stop. I really wish I could give someone a ride on it. They would probably just piss all over the seat. lol

Ha! I had a grown mature bloke take a pic on his phone only a week ago!

Certainly not a usual situation with other bikes I've had!!

Hibs, I hope you get the chance to own one of these bikes, you would certainly get the use out of it!

Had a group of Asian tourists once take turns taking pics sitting on the 12, may have only been cuz it was parked in front of an old landmark lighthouse, but still counts lol

Connman, I know I'm probably pushing you on this, but have you given any more consideration to getting a H2?

I know you are still doing work on the 12, so I would understand any reticence to commit to another bike, what with the H2 being on the expensive side!

The only way I got mine was through accessing retirement funds, and a fair chunk of that too!!

Still, I'm glad I did, as I'd rather see my money in something physical and tangible than sitting in some bank site.

Still watching a new 2016... the dealer had it "on sale" for $23K, then raised it back up to $26K!
When do the 2018 models hit showrooms? ...I can't believe they wouldn't take a hit on a 2 year old bike in their inventory....?
