Did the 12 proud tonight!!!

Wen't for a little night ride and ran into a bunch of young guns. Cruised with them for a while and we stopped for a few minutes. One of them has a 02 Busa. Keeps bragin how its faster than the the 12. I smile and nod and we continue to ride. All of this guys buds want me to race him but he won't ride beside me. Finally I pull up beside him and tell him buddies want us to race. He says " I don't have my night visor" I said tuck in behind the screen. Ya Ok. and off we go to the outskirts of town to a safe area with no traffic. He pulls over and takes out the night visor he has in trunk and puts it on the helmet....excuse #1..His buddies are laughing almost sensing whats about to happen and theyre givin him the gears. They all want me to whoop him cuz he has the fastest bike out of the bunch and allways wins the races. Nice guy but very cocky. We line up. His choice...roll on or off the line. Off the line it is. His buddie goes down the road 1/3 mile or so to see who wins. His other buddie starts us by dropping his hand, I get a bit of a head start maybe a bike length and the race is on. As we pass the line I look in my mirror and see his light way back.......Bad start he says...HMmmmmmm....excuse #2...I say lets race back and do a roll on to make things fair. On his count this time. We roll on and he drops his hand....fair start this time...The 12 comes to life about 8000 r's and I see Busa highbeam in the mirror slowly disappearring into the night. I let off to make the turn where his buddies are and they all want to know......2 races....2 wins for the 12 quite handily I might add. His buddies are laughing and Busa dude is pretty quite. Are you ready for this................Comes over with...." My runner slipped when I was shifting...Wait till I have my boots"...
excuse #3......LMFAO..... Chalk one up for the 12 guys... I was surprised how quick the 12 was compared to the Busa....Was a great night......Rizzo

The 12, she kicks ass.

Get used to going over the line first. If you know how to ride it, there are very (emphasis on very) few bikes you'll meet running on the street that can take the 12.

Thats a fact.

Now that the '02 12 has been getting good write ups in the mags. the Busa guys are more intimidated now!!!...They are all learning the hard way!!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I've had my 12 since '00, and have yet to come across a real challenge from a busa,1000,etc. An '02 R1 surprised the shit outta me once,took a bit longer than I thought to get 'em. I need to lose about 40 lbs!!!

Actually I figured out why this thing is sooooo fast. It's the fact I got rid of that really heavy 200 Dunlop and wen't to the 190.......Ya thats it. Those 200's are super heavy. Must have been slowing me down....lol....Rizzo
