Yes, mine runs better in the cold for sure.Lots better.I would think that with so many sensors and the ecu stuff it would run the same all the time.Fall is almost here,it'll really scream for a couple months.Humid weather is by far the worst.Runs like a green one. ;0)

Wrap your pipe. You can have some of that affect during the daytime. The airbox stays noticeably cooler.

Blitz. Email me a oic of your wrapped pipe. I would like to see it. What did you use to wrap it? The stuff I have seen is for headers on cars and it is really thick. Is this the same stuff? Let me [email protected] Thanks....Rizzo

Sean, I use Thermo-Tec 2" wrap.

The 2'' wrap is a little harder to do, but I prefer it because I get a nice, consistent overlap. Careful us of a spray bottle is the trick to get the wrap to mold.

I read on the PC3R thread here that you have a full Ti system, no?

If you do, take the wrap off, it will destroy your Ti header. If you have an SS header, you are fine.

Does anybody else notice a big difference in hp when its cooler out. AT night when it's cold I can pull the front tire up and flip it backwards just from rolling it on. When its hot the tire will just barely come off the ground. The difference is big. Kind of scares you cuz I'm used to it feeling a certain way and then Bam, it's different. You tell even when shifting up around redline cuz the bike gets a little snaky when shifting. I know from sledding that there is big hp gains when getting colder and we have to jet for it or we blow up. I thought the FI would compensate for this and regulate the power more. Just a thought...Rizzo

Well when the air is hot and dense, there is less air to be drawn into the cylinders, likewise when its nice and cool out and the air is dense, your bike will make more power. Especially a ram air bike cause the air wont get warmed by the engine before it gets sucked into the cylinders. I noticed it on my ZX11 I had and my ZX12R does the same thing.
