The reason i ask this is, I have to add about a half a quart of oil a couple hundred mile's before oil change is due. I change it at 1500 mile's. I'm thinking the oil is breaking down and i'm having blowby.

Take this for what its worth to you but I can offer a solution that worked for me....
I was getting oil in the airbox... But when I did the Kleen air to Crankcase... It all stopped...

It has never happened again... I used to get enough oil in airbox it bothered me.... I asked the mechanic about it... He said they all get some.. But now I get none............

I have done 8,250 miles and I too change my oil every 1500 miles. Never had to put a drop in nor has the level dropped either. :)

My 01 silver used to drink a 1/4 quart in between changes at 2500. The 02 PMB doesn't use a drop though.
