I am using up to 5 degrees of advance, 92-94 Octane is highly recommended.

Easyrider's Akra PCIIIr Map - stock filter, Full Akrapovic System, Kleen Air removed, 2000 ZX12 with stock boots. I used the Dynojet Akrapovic Map with Harryzx12's Fuel Map in the 80-100% throttle position. I modifed the 0,2,5% columns with Cliff Randall's on/off throttle response recommendation. I used the Muzzy Race Map for the Ignition advance. So far I love it, the performance is so smooth and the small amount of backfiring I had is gone, I still need to check for HP loss/gain on dyno.

Easy,

that's the reason why I'm afraid to get a PCIII! I'm afraid of the roll-on being so smooth that my butt dyno will be ineffective

Well, the first round feels great in the corners, it is soooo smooth. Along with my chain being too tight it has no on/off throttle jerk. However I will have to fix this. LOL

I will loosen my chain for the next ride and unfortunately I have noticed a good deal of soot in my pipe and the exhuast smells very rich (fuel smell). Due to the smoothness of the ride and my lack of ability to use my Butt Dyno, I have decided to go to the next best thing and tweek my map with my own A/F ratio sniffer. I may loose some brain cells and drive a bit crooked for awhile, but I am going to smell my way to a better map.

I will let you know if the new map is better or worse and update the website accordingly.

Easy,

Just tried out your map. Very impressed so far, runs very

smooth. Seems to run better down low than it did with

just the Dyno Akro map. I do have a question about the

ignition advance. Is five degree's of advance too much

for just a piped 12? I always run 93 oct gas but I still

worry about the advance being too much. Also, have you

tried running your fuel map with the stock settings on

the ignition? Just wondering if the advance is even needed?

I took the timing map from Muzzy's Race PCIIIr setup. It was specified for 92-94 Octane from what I understand.

You could try it without the timing and it won't do any harm. It may run a bit richer without the timing advance though.

Hopefully I will have some time today to try the new map variation. I want the same smooth feel without sooting up the plugs and pipe etc.

Easy with all the changes you have done to your bike, why are you still using the stock filters??

I am sure that you, like the rest us are looking for the most power possible, but you are overlooking one of the simplest mods..What gives??

The PCIIIR is on my desk. I got the power adaptor to run the unit and upload not connected to the bike. I will upload your MAP now and hopefully install tonight. Let me know when you modify the MAP for the richness. Thanks again. PS: You should get some air filters the stock ones suck.

Wellll.......

I try to keep my filters oiled and clean and have not been to happy with the tight fit of the K&N's. I think BMF??? has a filter that I will look at, but for now I have held off on that decision.

I will most likely do something when I get the new Hans Carbon Fiber intake system.

I have leaned out the present map a bit and it seems to be a good compromise so far, but I think it is still Rich. I have an A/F monitor coming that should help work out the kinks. I will post my latest map on the site tonight hopefully. The new map is just on the edge of loosing the throttle response smoothness. So depending on your bike you may need to richen it up a bit more, you will see the differences in the 0,2,5% positions. The only thing I am concerned about is that the smooth throttle mapping may lead to premature plug fouling. I will know more with the A/F monitor.

Either way it feels great to ride at this point.
