Hi there. I have a 1996 ZX7 P1 which has a been fitted with an L crank which re-strikes the stock motor to 803cc and is currently kicking out around 127 brake at the rear wheel, which is OK but just not quick enough. The bike is struggling in the race class that i enter, the bike handles well but just needs to be more missile like. The bikes i am competing against are big motor GSXR's, Fireblades and the like.
Rather than messing around tuning the heck out of this motor and affecting reliability, i intend to do some research over the next couple of weeks into trying to fit a ZX9 C motor which I believe is a higher performance motor into my bike rather than the B, which i believe fits straight in.
So simple question i guess, if anyone can help is, will the ZX9R C motor fit in my 1996 ZX7 P1 frame please. Been on BRG's website but no e-mail option for contact and i also notice that the fabulous ZXR resource page is now no more, which is shame.
I'd like/need 150 brake at the back wheel. Can anyone throw some light in the tunnel please? Help much appreciated, we need to get going with the build to be ready in time for next season.

The bike is just a stripped down ZX7, with ZX10 wheels, forks and swing arm.

The motor has had a head job, possibly upped the compression but is running stock cams, pistons and ignition. The stock carbs are dyno
jetted and do an OK job but i have a set of FCR's to go on when we decide which motor option we take up.
