Does everyone really think the Akro is worth $400-500 more than an HMF/Hindle systems? I've not seen anything in person (other than a muzzy). I wondering, based on what I've seen, is the extra 2-4 HP worth the extra dough? That extra $ sure could buy a juice kit...

I just bought a full Akro C/F system...can honestly say it is absolutely the best quality system I've ever seen.

It looks great, sounds great & has BALLS! I can't tell you what to do w/your $...but my vote is for the Akro system!

One other thing...I'm not sure how much the Hindle systems are but my full Akro C/F & PC3R was under $1300 (approx $900 for the system & $300 for the PC3R) - I don't think you'll find a full Hindle system for $400-500?? I could be wrong though? I think the price difference is more like $200?

You may want to check this out more...the system they are advertising is part number EX5000...the 12R requires part number zx1200rr according to Hindles website.

I would check it out before you get your hopes up...I'm still thinking a full Hindle system for the 12 is about $700 - 800?

Let me know though, I'm very currious

Either way, I don't think you will go wrong - I have heard just as much good stuff about the Hindles too.

akro is a nice pipe, but it ain't worth the $1700.00 CDN that it costs. the couple of hp you may get can be had fer a LOT less $$$$. my Hindle made great power, lighter than stock, looks great, and didn't cost NEAR that price.

Honest opinions? OK.... here ya go:

Most riders will tell you that the system that they have on their bike is "the one" to have! We all know how that works, right?

The Akrapovic is definitely a top choice. I have NEVER heard of a 12R owner with an Akrapovic system say anything bad about the pipe. Same thing can be said about the Yoshimura RS-3 Duplex Race system - all 12R owners using that system seem to be extremely satisfied. The other systems get mixed reviews - at least from everything I've read on multiple websites over the past 20 or so months. I've seen 12R owners with Hindle and Muzzy's exhausts brag about how great they are, and I've seen owners of the same systems put them up for sale to get the Akra or Yosh systems. You don't hear as much about the HMF or Micron systems, but I've heard some good comments on them.

All of the systems I mentioned seem to do a good job of increasing peak power output. The biggest differences seem to be in low/midrange power and fit/finish.

I have a full Hindle Ti supersport - haven't ever tried anything else but I have to say for the price the Hindle is excellent. I paid $559(if I remember right) for the full system from Phil at www.moto-heaven.com. Its super light(Hindle says they make the lightest SS exhausts), sound is great - not too loud but it screams up top - a nice performance gain(about 11hp from a dyno reading supplied from Hindle without pc3). I do have a little idle hunt but after it idles for about 45 seconds it calms down. I have a pc3 and tried 30+ different maps/combinations etc.. and found the Dynojet supplied .008 map to be the best.... <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Mantis007 said he got a dyno sheet with his system.

Does the other system's send out Dyno Sheet's, Maybe we could publish them here on site?

OR

I'd like to see a sportbike mag, Do a test on all the pipe's and publish the finding's.

HP gain's

Loudness DB's

But then the mag's would have to stop talking about the GSXR 1000, Long enough to do something real.

Try to make an educated purchase. Rocket is right. People will tell you the best pipe to have is the one they have. Get the one you feel is the best for you and your wallet. Personally, have the "Yosh"
