hi - i have a 1974 F7 that has starting issues..............

I have had the crank re built professionally with oem seals. it has a NOS barrel and piston kit so i guess the issue is in the carb but i have had that clean twice - once in an ultra sound bath.
with no throttle and full choke - kick the bike over and it fires 12 or 15 times and then dies. any attempt to alter the choke or throttle setting make sit stop quicker. persevere 8 or 10 times and eventually the bike will continue to run. once warm it settles to a slow tickover and runs fine - responding to the throttle as it should ...........

any ideas or suggestions welcome - where can i get a carb from ? are there any other models that have a suitable carb??

thanks in advance

Simon
