I'd be game to be involved in this. I ain't buying the el-cheapo screw to the fairing mount ones. Might as well tape donuts to the fairings in that case... but, some solidly mounted ones I would definitely be interested in - buying or helping develop.

think about it. its a very different frame than other bikes. you cant find them because they don't make them. You can screw nylon ones on your engine but where do you think the force from a crash is going to go? right to your motor, I would rather replace plastic than a motor.

I have seen the frame sliders on ZX9s, but they are hooked up on the hex bolt on the fairing...I have seen what they look like after a fall too and they ripped right off breaking the tab onto the frame now, the guy was screwed!!!...I wont be putting them on my 12s!!!

I remember seeing a post from Doug Meyers (of Muzzy fame) on a board somewhere that even Muzzy's gave up on the idea of frame sliders for the 12 because their engineers couldn't come up with a suitable spot to mount them. I'll see if I can't go back at some point today and dig up that thread, because it had a lot of interesting info in it.

I noticed on the 02 12 that there is threaded mount point on the frame visable thru the fairing opening. This might be a mount point for a slider.
