So I have been fixing up my 1994 zx11 and I bought a used gas tank off ebay, only when I went to install the new one (a 1997 tank) it only has a single hose nipple for the canister rather then the 3 that where on the 94 tank. They say they are compatible but if that is the case then what the hell do I do with the two loose canister hoses. Ps it doesn't seem to run that much different without them hooked up but I can only assume that a liquid gas comes outa one of the hoses. Please help this is a p,I,t,a

It sounds like you have a CA model bike, with a NON-CA tank...

CALIFORNIA models came with obnoxious emissions equipment.. hence the 3 nipples.
One for fuel, one for vapor recovery, and one for no good reason.

You can get another tank, or remove the offending unnecessary equipment.
I have seen the un-used nipples blocked off, on bikes that have the above; done.

I am running a 1-nipple tank on my CA bike.

No problemo..

Glad to hear it!

Have you looked at the constrictive systems on the bike?
You can remove quite a lot to get the bike to breathe better.. :crazyloco:
