I know a guy who has been running a slick for the last two years. He said he has never been stopped for that.

Unless the popo out your way has nothing else to do but stare at sportbike tires, I don't see them bothering you. Now maybe if they pull you over for something else and you give them some 'lip'... now maybe they might thin out your wallet. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

GP slick I got me a decent leftover..... So I thought i'll give it a try.. The price was right..... Alot softer than my dunlop was...... I put my Dunlop on brand new took 9 weights to balance it...... I put this used slick on took 2 weights..... Thats some ate up shit now.... A new tire should balance better than that......

I'd be real interested in finding out how well a new compound soft road race slick works on the street... does it get warm enough to work and will it heat cycle more than once? Or is it a one time slip and slide till the tire shreads its self and then it's all over?

No offense, but I dont know anybody who rides on the street who can benefit from the use of a race slick for daily riding. Street use simply cant get slick to the proper termperature...unless your riding something like Deals Gap from one end to the next and simply making a U-turn and doing it again. Sure hope you dont encounter some damp roadways.

However, if it was had a the right price and you enjoy test riding, have at it.

Well its like this.... It was free... Its a 100 times softer tham my Dunslop I took off so why not try it... I put that Dunslop on personally brand new and it took 9 weights to balance it... Put the used tire on and it took 2 weights.... Same wheel..... So it had to be that boat anchor Dunslop...... I was at a total cost of 0 dollars to try this..... Seems to bite pretty good so far.....

With the little xtra traction I went back to the 16/44=2.75...... I was running the 16/46=2.875... Get the gearing down a little and the wheelbase back...
