I was riding back home today and there was a BMW car coming in the opposite direction with i's lights on and it had GREEN headlights. It wasn't fitted with covers, so I guess it must be the bulbs.
Is this a new thing to go along with the current trend for Blue bulbs? Or was I dreaming the whole thing? Must admit, they did look cool!

New Trend

I've seen purple headlights on a beamer. Also, on bikes I've seen yellow, green, and blue. I like the high intensity purple/white lights.

Phew! Thanks Superninja!
Thought I was losing my marbles for a bit there! The green light looked really nice, I was thinking how nice it would look on the booger green models!

I can tell you from working at BMW for several years, the new
Xenon headlights, when cold < not warmed up,just turned on,or new >
will appear blue, green, yellow, etc... For the first 100+/- hrs of use
when brand new or replaced, they will give off that weird impression.
Once they reach operating temp. they even out and look really bright or
blue...

if that helps any.

Avenger,
I have blue lights with a smoked lens cover that gives the lights a purple hue. Goes really well with the silver. Improves the lights as well.

Safe4now,
Thanks for the explanation, it explains a lot as I have seen various other colours on the road, but this was the first green ones.
