I reveived my carbon fiber stuff from Hans and installed it last night before going out and riding. I bought the fuse box cover and the air duct covers. THe quality of the product and the look is great but the fit sucks. THe holes don't quiet line up right and that's my only complaint. This shit is supposed to fit over the existing duct covers right??? I removed the stock fuse box cover and put only the new CF piece on. It was too high over the stocker. Did I install this stuff right or is it meant to replace the existing plastic? THx for answering the dumb question.LOL

Superninja, are you saying that you installed the Hans pieces over the stock ones??
When I installed mine they really did seem very thin.. But I got some 1/2" foam from Home Depot and made a tracing from the original foam backing.. Cut it out and then used spray adhesive and attached the foam piece to the Carbon Fiber.. This gave the Carbon Fiber a more secure feel and made the fit much more stable.. Without the foam the fit was very loose and it actually rattled while in place..
I have to agree with the comments that Hans needs better quality control with regards to the hole drilling department.. The Carbon Fiber is second to none.. The placement of the holes must be done by someone half blind..

Ok guys thanks. I feel dumb but the only reason being is that when I took the stock air duct covers off they had that silver heat shields on the bottom and the carbon fiber ones seemed so thin. Just to let you know they do fit over the stockers fine but just the bolting holes don't quite match up. I will have something to do this weekend now. Put them on the right way. Hey I wonder if Hans would make an engine case cover in carbon fiber for us.

Or, "Not at all."

BTW, my Han's fuse cover fit perfectly. But, I had to enlarge a couple of the holes on the rear wheel hugger before it would fit.

Not just a barbarian, a great barbarian!
