has anyone tried a 16 tooth front sprocket?

i am really into drag racing i am about to change my front sprocket but i am stuck between the 16 or the 17 tooth sprocket .has anyone tried a 16 ?

I thought we already decided that the 16 tooth puts too much stress on the chain due to the extremely tight angles the chain has to be in to fit around the tiny sprocket???
