As I've said before, I'm new to sportbikes and have noticed heavy vibration at the right footpeg and Handlebars at 7K+ RPM. Is this par for the course??? I read that the bike was tuned with an emphasis on the low and Midrange for 2002. Could this be the culprit???

I don't have a ZX-9 but I have a 12, I noticed the 12 vibrated much more in the first few miles and settled out as it broke in and went through the factory service schedule.

The talk forums take awhile to grow but give it time and keep posting questions and people will get back to you.

I hope that helps,

Vibes? The only vibes I get from my 02 is in the lower gear 1 and 2 past 6500 rpm or so.

Once the sucker is out flying there aint no vibes no where.

The vibe was in the right foot peg. Its just buzzes. Funny thing is when the bike is fully warmed up ( used for more than an hr) it kind of goes away.

my 00 9r had an ugly vibration between 5-6000 RPM in any gear. after the D&D full system was installed, it disappeared. it took me a few hours of riding to figure out that it was gone though. i knew it sounded waaaaay different, but couldn't put my finger on what it was.

I have a vibration right at 7k but it's gone by 8k.
