Hey kawa world,
I'm new to the forums and I've looked all over the place but haven't found any solution to fixing the issue I'm having with my bike. So I just purchased a 2007 zx6r with 20k on it runs and rides fine with no mechanical issues the bike was dropped on the right side but no major damages aside from some scratches and a few small dents on the tank. The issue I'm having is the fuel light continues to blink and the word fuel on the cluster even when I have gas in the tank. When taking the bike for a ride I'm not having any issues it rides just fine. The bike does backfire when dropping to lower gears and I have a Yoshimura split on exhaust.
Some of the issues I looked into:
- I made sure there was fuel in the tank
- I made sure the fuel wasn't all the way to the top
- I checked all the wiring from cluster to under the seat everything seems fine
- I removed the fuel pump to inspect it and I didn't see anything wrong with it.
