Moose Racing heat shield works for the turbo stuff. And affordable.
The muzzy piping under the oil pan was too long. So at the elbow that turned up and followed the fairing relief hump was right next to the plastic. No room for air flow.
And melted my first 12s fairing. So if there is room for air to flow then that’s a good start.

Ouch, I would be pissed. Any time you can add heat shields to most areas, it's a good idea. I have heard of that multiple times and 100 dollar heat shield is worth it to save a set of irreplaceable fairings.

I ordered the protection in case. I really won't know until the painting is complete and then installed............so just gonna install it in the belly area.

Ok. Hopefully this will protect it. They are oem so trying not to damage them.

That lava stuff works really well. Us a heat gun and it molds itself. Grafting in pieces is simple with slight overlap.
