Have a '97 Jeep Wrangler I bought new. Have had ALL required service performed. It only has 38k miles. Got a check engine light come on for 2 days and then go off. It was due for an oil change. Plus the a/c wasn't working right after they charged me $600 to fix it. So took it to dealer. Dealer call and said it needed $959 and they didn't even look at a/c. Said it needed two seals on differential, injectors cleaned, differential serviced, blah, blah, blah. I said, "Buzzard shit, I'm coming after it." They charged me $72 to check the fault code (From Check Engine light), $30 for oil change!!!!!, and $12 dollors for shop supplies!!!!!!! WTF is that all about?!! Had to drive the Asscrack yesterday. Now, it's suppose to rain all weekend. I'm the only one working today. Had to pay Uncle Sam another $1k in taxes this week because my ex-wife violated a legal contract and claimed my son on her tax return. I'm out of margarita mix. Scratched my swing arm. I HATE THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!

being basically a negative person, i am in the uncomfortable position of trying to look at the bright side in this situation.

i guess you could look at it this way, your dealer found some problems. My wifes 93 grand cherokee (bought new) was in the local shop 10 of the first 12 weeks she owned it. several of those revisits were to fix things that were supposed to be fixed before. some of the things they never did get fixed, and she traded it off 4 months later. definitely did not come out ahead on that deal. That jeep could really go through snow and ice though.

oh yea its friday and you only work until 10:00, could be worse, you could have to work all day. at least you don't own an aztec, whoops i guess you do.

but at least its black.

At least you are not still MARRIED to your ex-wife.

And you have a 17t.

And you have a TBR can.

See, it's not so bad.

Great advise guys! I couldn't ride though - It's pouring rain, but, we really need it. We're on water restrictions right now. I did get liquored up last night though. My head doesn't even hurt this am. I looked under my Jeep and I didn't see the seals leaking or weeping. I just think they want to get free $! As far as the injectors, Ill just run a can of injector cleaner through it. Hell, it runs like a scalded hound now. It's just a little faster than a green '00 12 w/ NOS or PMB. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I believe I saw some guys recommend Chevron brand injector cleaner on this site. That's one thing I really like about this site. Not only is it a great source of info about the mighty 12 and a great place to have fun, but, it contains info you can use for everyday life.
