after i hit the cords<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p"> ....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D"> ....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> ....

Thats right i hit the cords on my colorado trip at 12,083 miles. I now have 13,113 miles on the bike ON cords....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> .... I wonder what the record is? I am going for 1500 total wich will probably happen by the end of the week.

My tire is at 5,000 miles now. I would say that half of those miles were corners... and 1 trip to the dragstirp(10 passes) If i didn't go to southern MO or northern AR or CO... My tire wouldn't have lasted 3000 miles. I also commute daily to work and its a pretty curvy road so i am on the outer 1/3's of my tire a lot. wich helps tire wear.

So whats the record with you guys? or do you just replace after you hit the wear marks?<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p">

I hit the wear marks at 1100 last time, but I NEVER go to the cords. I refuse to put myself in jeapardy just to get a few hundred more miles out of a tire.

Last year coming home from a Sunday Ride (where else) on my stretched Bandit, I noticed the back tire spun a couple of times when I wicked it up in first gear. I'm thinking, man this bike is running good today. We stopped for gas and my buddy tells me to take a look at my rear tire. White cord starting to show! No rubber, no traction.

Maybe ya ought to pull a plug wire

just kidding. I would'nt wish that on nobody but a harley rider.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

I replaced a Dunlop 207 with 1500 with cord's showing. Bummed me out. No burnout's and no dragstrip run's.

Insurance, tire's and women is my biggest expense in life. One women, that is my wife.

Paradise all the women you can do, Free tire's. No Insurance. Hell I'd even be glad to go to work if a place like that existed.

If Jessie Jame's had a ZX12R I'd ride with him.

Last year 207's would go 1500 miles and suddenly
there would be cords showing. This year on the 208's'
I have 2100 miles and plenty of tire left. Not bad for a Dunslop.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
