I've looked at the power numbers from the mags, and like what I see. Should be powerful, quick in any gear and have a very nice top end. The only thing I think could hold the bike down is its weight. Is the bike as quick as the numbers say it is? BTW, I like 0-100 FAST, not a bike that can do a bazillion miles per hour... I haven't been to bonneville and don't plan to go.

What's the story ZZR pilots? I haven't seen any pics from kawi of the integrated bags. I know beetle bags exist but I have a shotgun and I would rather shoot my toes off... What say ye about the Kawi bags? Barf or Boon?

I'm thinking this bike or the 12R. I want a long range hyper tourer that will anihilate any cage out there and really like the kawasaki's... I have a 140hp ZRX for around town scratching, but need the bagger for lonnnnng runs. What made ya buy the ZZR as opposed to the 12R?

tia, y'all!!!

I wrecked my (Totalled) ZX12 about a month ago. The 12 is awsome!!!!!!! The only complaints from this previous ZX-11C owner is that it is a little hard on the wrists, even with the heli's (I'm 5'10 with 32" inseam and 34"-35" length sleeve in dress shirt size)and Is NOT very cozy 2 up. unless you're in twisties, the 12 can get kind of uncomfortable on the open road. No other complaints. The 12R, a long range hyper tourer, in my opinion no. Tons of fun, miles of smiles yes!!! I'm getting a ZZR to replace the 12 when the insurance check comes in next week. I haven't ridden one yet, but if it's anything like my beloved ZX-11C, I think I'll be happy. I may have to sqeeze some more HP out of it though (165 hp is a lot of fun)

Fearsome K on the 12 forum has one and had posted some thoughts on it a while back, said he loved it. You might want to search for posts with his name. Or maybe "PING" him on the 12 forum. Don't know how frequently he visits it.

As for the bags, I've seen some pics with them mounted and they are simply a factory option of color matched GIVI's. www.givi.it/ They look good on the bike, don't know how they mounted them, I'm assuming Givi's wingrack system. I have a set of E360 bags and will testify to there value, and quality. Bags are fairly wide when mounted on my 88 ZX-10 but at least looked far better and were way more functional than the corbin's. By the way I was able to get 2 fullface (L Arai Quantum, M Shoei RF600?) helmets into one bag laying helmet opening to helmet opening!

YES !

As far as SportTourers go. It is very fast and pulls hard. It will use up damn near all the speedo has to offer. It gets there quick as well. I have had mine two up cruising easily at 80+ and with a quick blip it is pulling like you are riding alone. Yes, I checked to make sure she was still there. It is very comfotable and very fast. It is no ZX12-R, but the ZX12-R is no ZZR either. If you are looking for most of the fun of a ZX12-R and most of the comfort of a Concurs, this is the bike. I have 5400 good time miles on mine. Many of them done up and done the mountain to Lake Arrowhead and Big Bear in San Berndino, Ca.

Dave,

The ZZR is one of the fastest stock bikes made today. The only ones faster are the ZX12, Busa and maybe the new GXSR1000. It pulls hard from 3k up. When the tach get over 7K you simply explode and pull away from what ever you were passing. In just a couple of seconds you can easily be over 100 and gone.
