That's what I'M talking about !!! Man, this bike is sweet. Real smooth on acceleration, braking, curves. Kinda sucks just taking it slow right not, but not for long.

I picked the bike up as scheduled at 0930 today, all went smooth. Took it real slow for the first few miles, then found a lone stretch of country road and took her to 4000 rpms, through the gears. Didn't feel fast but let's just say I was somewhat over 55 in 6th. Brought her home after 20 minutes and let her sit for 7 hours. Took another ride tonight for 20 minutes, it was even better than the first. My somewhat stale riding skills are quickly coming back to me, can't wait 'till tomorrow for 2 more short trips. Kept the rpms vaired using the gears alot.

My poor truck doesn't know what hit it. The weather is looking great for the weekend, although I have to work, the bike will be coming with me ! LOL, there's a sight " Vernon Police get Ninjas". Film at 11.

I'm being real careful not to lug it, but I was surprised how quickly the bike responds to throttle when in top gear. 5 stars for Kawsaki on the 12 as far as I'm concerned.

Looks great Saint... I like those pics, the second one would have been awesome if that stupid reflector had not hosed it up <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Break her in right, and get used to it. The break-in is as much for you as it is the bike. Its not going to feel fast till you get her broke in...

With the 02 there is not a sudden rush of speed as some were expecting, the power is very linear and it just keeps pullin harder and harder all the way to the rev limiter.
The bike has incredible speed capabilty. Respect your bikes power and learn slowly how to manage it. You will love it,
and you to may become addicted to zx-12r.org <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

You commented on roll on power, wait till you lose the stock gearing, you will be amazed....

Don't worry, break in will be over before you know it...

It reminds me alot of a turbocharged vehicle, without the lag you get when the turbo is just starting to spool up. You are right, it just keeps pulling. Incredible acceleration, can't even imagine what it's going to feel like over 4 grand.

You hit the nail on the head with the break in as well, as good for me as the bike. Great time to get aquainted with it's handling and respect the power. I think tonight will be more sleepless than last night !

I should have edited that remark about not feeling fast, mean't to say that I didn't think I was going that fast, until I glanced at the speedo <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> .

yeah, the speed will sneak up on you, I find myself occasionally cruising at 90 mph <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

It is so easy, you know your bike will do 83 mph in 1st gear <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Mine won't, I'm geared too low <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
