Does any else sell lowering straps besides schnitz. living in Hawaii the cost for shipping is $24.00 for 20.00 dollar straps.

The post office will ship 2lbs for 2 bucks. But schnitz will not ship us postal.

Put one knee down for the curves and both knees down for GOD!

I ordered one from Schnitz. I am going back to the track with it slammed and I read on here somewhere. When bolting it on to the upper caliper bolts use spacers. Do I need to buy longer bolts and spacers(what kind of spacer) or can I just bolt it on with the stock bolts?

Just setup the straps to use the lower brake caliper bolts. That way the strap ends never get close to hitting the fork tubes. (free advice)

I used the bottom holes. I used the stock bolts and put a couple of washers in behind the buckle with the bolt holes. I love the way it launches with the strap. I just need to get more aggressive with it. The best $20 I have spent on the bike to make it launch harder.

I am just waiting to see how much better it will be with the strap. Going to the track tonight for Test-n-tune. Got it slammed and strapped. Thanks for the advice everyone.

lowering strap

The lowering strap is THE least expensive mod for improving launches and lowering ET's (I would guess up to 2-tenths, if launching was weak before).

I put mine on the upper caliper mount, but I've ground the bracket on the strap to make it less wide (that way it fits more straight w/o hitting the upper tube when strapped down). On the 12R, you have to remove the reflector and replace the long bolt with a shorter one holding the fender on. Also, I just put it over the frame. It inhibits turning a little, but I don't have any problems turning around the water-box, return-road, etc..
