I have a 98 zx9....It was about 105 degrees the other day ....I was in stop in go traffic for about 30 min...I get home and my bike started drainin a little bit of antifreeze from the drain hose....my temp gauge was at the bar right before the last 2 yellow and red bars...any iideas

Tighten the clamp at that hose. This is still an air cooled bike. Write to your state and explain how splitting lanes keeps the air moving, and you are not going to be rear ended in that stop and go shit.

You need to pull over and let traffic subside, or take the ticket and split lanes, take the ticket right to the state supreme court. Ambient temps is your enemy. The state is your enemy.

Buy a bigger radiator and fan or change the laws.

Clean the rad, drain the fluid and add new with a decent coolant and put a new thermostat in it - All will help

hi your radiator cap is not holding the pressure ,when you stop or go slow heat soak makes the fluid boil , change it and get one from a honda or similar auto less then $20 with at least +16lbs .
