whats up with a good set of mirrors for the 12 these days.00-01? any body got some w/pics?i found some i really like,but their discontinued.they were those small cone shaped ones.
Looking at the glass, the mirror & frame was round,than as the frame went back they get skinnyer like a cone.
at the mirror they were 3 inches round and the frame to back was about 4-6 inches long,starting 3 inch's round than getting skinnyer in a cone shape as you go back.
I know that helps real well,but if someone has them they'll know what i'm talking about.
they connect with 1 threaded stud & run 25-30 bucks.
my dealer said his supplier stopped carring them,and is hunting them down,cuz it seems they came from oversea's,probably the u.k.

yikes $180.00 a mirror!dammit man.did i misunderstand the dealer and that was a pair for the 02?
i wish somebody knew those mirrors i was talking about,
no wind resistance,and you can mod them to see wide angle.i'll find something out there somewhere!

Sorry mach,I'm not talking about the stock mirrors I was refering to the Magical Racing mirrors. They are around 300 bucks a pair but they look and work badass !!!

those are some nice mirrors but a little pricy. i have the 02 12 mirrors and they are great.

avenge,what size base did you go with? & how is the wide angle sight?those are close to what i wanted,but not cone.seems the shorter ones will limit your wide sight,but will not get wind resistance?i always put those small round cheater mirrors on the glass to see, if the mirror is short,but if the wider ones are seeable???whats your 02 on them?should i go 02 mirrors or these?oh and how much do they weigh?thanks.

You need a 17 tooth 1st before we even talk about outrunin.Than,you will need about 80 lbs.added to your bike to even the weight ratio between us up.Than you will need a helmet cuz i'm gonna blow by you so fast your heads gonna spin & the wind velosity will knock you right off your bike & i wouldnt feel good about that<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":b">

I've got the '02 mirrors on my '01 as well. Much nicer. I had the little bubble mirrors on my '01 mirrors, but don't need them anymore. My '01 mirrors rattled, the '02s don't. My '01 mirrors had a lot of vibrations, less so on the '02s. Worth it.

Mach......sorry about the misleading post (previous by me) I do not have those mirrors, Jolt has em on his bike and are tuff. I was just tryin to point you in a direction for mirrors if you were looking for them other than stock mirrors. But they are very pricey !!!
