Nice pics! Two things, though: I used to think those SuperChickens were good lookin' bikes 'til I saw one next to your 12! And who shot your luggage?!

Looks like a great trip. I really like the appearance mods you made to the R.

HEEHEE, I tell ppl I was flipping off Harley riders as they were coming back from Sturgis. Actually what happ'd was the bag rolled around and rested itself on top of the muzzy can. Fortuneately that was the only serious incident on the whole trip.

As far as the trip itself, if anybody gets the chance to go on a road trip I'd just say DO IT. I had my fears initially, you know the "what if's" but holy crap....it was fun. Especially on this bike, I really have better respect for this machine after looking back at the 1600 miles of tearing up pavement. It's the best way to go as far as I'm concerned, as long as you can get creative with packing your gear...(and check it often).

Hey Mk is that the welcome to Yellowstone sign that sits in West Yellowstone? If it is I spent quite a bit of time there and would love to go back on the 12. The road heading north to Bozeman would be amazing. In about a month it will be mating season for the Elk, man what a beautiful animal, the males get so crazy rounding up the girls that some get hit and killed by the cars traveling through the park <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

Unionnakita,

I think, if you give it a little time, what you'll find on this site is a little different from what you may be used to.

Generally speaking, the guys on this site are well versed on motorcycles, and although many of us drive a zx12, many of us also own or have owned bikes from all the manufacturers.

I have a strong history with Hondas.

You are not going to get bashed here because you don't own a 12. Variety is the spice of life...

If you're not breakin' the law you're not riding!!

Muz - yeah man that's the exactly the sign. Just a rock throw at the border or WY.

Psych - well my buddy with the superchicken had about 50% before leaving on the trip, (soft compound). Tell you what give your tires less credit before leaving on trips like those, we were sweatin it on the way through eastern wa...cuz that's what he had left.
