ja, go back to the neck of the bike. Read every inch/mm of that vin ID plate. What month/year can you see that stands alone and stands out from the vin number?

I think there may be a year and month made having a sticker on it? Say it was made in 10/11. That says it's a 2012 model year bike, though made in 2011. Get it?

That or shoot the bike, show the condition of the model, stickers on tank, etc., can show how much year is on it, when that sticker was used for what year?

im guessin 2010 by the previous answer
am i right
See all the 8's? I'm going to take a guess at 028585.

02 is for 2008 as in century
85 is for 85 engine size
85 is for 2008 built on the 5th month

You have a 2008 KX85 :crazyloco:

See how that reads KX85A7F as in the year is 7? You click to 2008 you see this as KX85A8

But! Year made is still mid year built, about to be introduced as next year. That's why you need to see that frame tag and how it is written as in build date.

So you guessing a 2010, can't see the sticker at the neck, or they don't use it for dirt bikes: not needing a DOT kind of won't be on the road? Then, back to engine numbers.

Say a 2009 model, built with 2008 parts. Because this bike has not changed a clutch cover gasket, water hose cover, or left stator cover since inception.
