Hello, I'm completely new here, so I apologize if I'm breaking any forum decorum, but I'm also a brand new rider. Just bought a 2016 ninja 300 as it was recommended to me as a great learning bike, and boy it has been. Anyway, I got it with about 12k on it, and I've put another 1500 on it. Recently I took it out to take a destress ride and I was pretty hard on the little bike. On my home, I took the interstate and was still in that aggressive ride mode. So I learned a few things, but was also left with questions. First, that bike will do 115mph if you lay flat and hit a good downhill slope. Second, 100mph doesn't feel fast when you pass people. My question is, I noticed that when I rolled hard on the throttle on the on ramp, I had some pretty bad clutch slippage, so is it cooked and I should just replace it? Or is it common when you're riding hard from light to light? Also one more, which brand of replacement clutch kit is best?

TL;DR

I think I cooked my clutch and would like recommendations for brands of replacement.

Oem is good.
Check out Spears racing. They have everything for these bikes. Probably have a good clutch upgrade.

Thank you, they were one of the ones I was looking at and wasn't sure about. I appreciate it.

All the stuff they have makes me want a ninja 400 just to modify it….lol

I just read the announcement about the 400RR and now that I'm confident and comfortable riding, I've given serious thought to getting one. I've been debating between a ZX6-R for more sport and wow, or a ninja 650 for more daily comfort ridability and then they go and throw that into the mix. 😂
