Muzzy Block offs... This one I always have troubles with.... If you want it blocked off run one hose to the other and use the 40 bucks elsewhere.... If you believe in connecting Kleen air to crankcase gains a few horse do it for about 7 bucks.. This is what I chose...... But 40 bucks for little plates that don't do shit... Not for me..... Just my nickles worth... Inflation....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Well its an argued concept.... Nobodys proven it either way.... The blockoff plates do just that totally block it of.....

You can totally block it off the old style way by connecting on side to the other..... Thus saving the cost of the blockoff plates..

Or you can connect your crankcase vent tube to your Kleenair on top of your motor... There has been claims of 2 or three horsepower... But still cheaper than blockoffs... You can also use existing hoses I did... All you need is a plastic heater hose T and on straight connector heater hose also... About 7 bucks..
Its supposed to create negative crankcase pressure meaning no pressure against the pistons as they work up and down.. Thus gaining power...

Sorry its so big.... didn't take time to shrink it... But it should print well...<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

If you get a custom made map, you may not need to worry about the KLEEN. I got a Akrapovic, with K&N's and PCIIIr, with a dyno made map, and for me, backfiring is not really an issue. I will get a rare backfire when the bike is cold, and I go from high revs in first to closed throttle. But nothing that would warrant any more fiddling around with the bike than has already been done. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, I said No More Mods myself a while back..
That was right before I bought the Corbin.. or was it the Zero Gravity Double Bubble...No it was right before I bought the Moto Graphic Undertail with the Cool LED turnlights...
No, now that I really think it was right before I spent $650 on Hans Carbon Fiber parts <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

You guys are leaving out the NWS Hugger...Michelin Pilot Sports...Falicon Billet Basket...11 friction clutch plates and 10 2.0 steel clutch plates...Drop forks 1/2 inch...Tighten up rear spring at least 2 turns clockwise...steel braided lines, takes the spongy feel away in the lever...16-44 gearing...

In reference to the Kleen air mod, the 92191a hose can be plugged up with the Mikuni Pilot Jet # 12.5, or a screw that fits tight...Its to tight to get under the frame to remove the T off the F.I. rail...I Put the blockoffs on instead, its a real bitch getting in to remove the kleen air system!!!

Nice illistration Rich, I put a length of pipe in and joined those
two rubber "elbows" together. That put a stop to the
"popping" on overrun and also stablized my idle when at
running temp.
What sort of hp increase is the ventilation mod worth?
Cheers

Nothings been proven that I know of but have sereval people claim 3 to 5 horse... 5 being the most I have heard on a 1000 GSXR... I talked it over with the mechanic at our local shop he said good theroy may work... Anyway beats 40 bucks for blockoff plates.. Anyway I took a chance on it....
Now for my personal beliefs.... In my opinion.... I think it works because... I did this mod to mine.... After I change oil in my bike I start it to circulate the oil natually... When I shut it of and check it again I loosen the cap..... I have heard it suck in air as if there was vaccum there... Not blow out air like a gascap when its hot out... It sucked it in.... So my personal belief is there is something there....

very similar to the custom you have with slight differnces..

I'm trying it now, but my bike is at the dealer having the stator replaced to correct the oil leak problem...

main differnece I see is the custom map adds 3 degrees timing across the entire range where the California map adds 4 degrees only at 80% and 100% throttle in upper rpms...

just wanting to get some more opinions on it...

all three maps feel close, give it a try, let me know
what you think.

Is that a Bam?

Dino seat conversion!
You have a PC3, so you surely must be totally sick of removing the rear seat all the time. Do yourself the biggest favor, get Dinos seat mod. The best $$ you will spend on your bike.
Kawi should have built it with Dinos seat hinge to start with.
Thank The Good Lord, we have Dino to correct the situation.

Be patient Danielson Voz....

Mine never drags, and I think it is because, when I turn the key on and the switch to run, put in neutral, and I always wait about 5 seconds before starting, try that and report back <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> Get in a hurry and she will drag <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Works for me.....
