I have been told anywhere between 11 to 14.25%.. I set mine at 14.25(was told it was a GPS checked) and check it with my buddys new S-10 truck was 1 MPH off.... Close enough for me..... Somebody will have a GPS setting or something better......<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT="">
Set mine to 28% <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":b">

To Date the highest reading on the speed-O with this setup has been indicated 165MPH. (Bike was still accelerating but ran out of road. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> )

So how do ya keep from getting a ticket?? Must be a good guesser about speed or do you know the tach reading for 65???? Just courious......<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT="">
Check out www.zx-12r.org , using the search box in the directory type in yellow box, it will be in the first few threads that come up. There is a chart that shows the speedo error and corrections for the yellow box for all gear ratios.
Just look @ my speed-O & quickly subtract exactly 16%!!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
Rode a zx-11 for over 3 years without a speed-O
(Kept breaking them. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> ) So I have a pretty good idea how fast i'm going...upto around 75-80MPH. (If it's over 80...it's wide open!)

Thanks a lot guys, appreciate it! Now that I have the 17T in (awesome mod), I need to do this, passed a couple of cops today, and with the new accelleration I had no idea if I was speeding or not .
After reviewing the link that easy just posted, I have one question.
By changing the gearing to either 17t or 17/47, it actually lowers top speed while increasing acceleration?
It looks like the stock gearing yielded the highest true (GPS) reading.
I want the 17 for acceleration but I have this nagging little "Busa" problem <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=""> and I need all I can get!

I posted all 800+ pages on www.zx-12r.org so if I don't know where it is no one will. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT="">
Yes it will lower your top speed by aprox. 8~9mph.
