I won't have my bike until next week, you already have me thinking of ordering a tail kit and a hugger. I emailed Spencer for a price on the AKRAPOVIC EXHAUST. I'm looking at PC3r's. Hmmm, the BMC looks like a quality filter. I wonder if I can wedge a turbo in under the cowl.WTF !!! I don't even have the bike, less than a quality helmet and riding gear ! How the hell am I going to put 2,000 miles on this bike to break it in for winter BOMBing in only 3 months ? How am I going to send my two girls to college ?

Just kidding. This site is full of great info and I wanted to say thanks !

Hey Scott, After I turned 20 years old, I always kept my bikes stock. Then I screwed up and started pinging this site. Now, I've spent way too much $ on mods. One thing though. YOU"LL FIND IT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!

My advise, take your time. Like with TBBT, the lust will wear off and you'll have no where to go. Just polishing my rims this year made it a new bike. This winter ???????? Undertail, led lights, Lowering links, extended swingarm with Muzzy's extended tail piece. ??????? Who knows

Let up for a second, and that's where you finish!!</p>

Hey, you gotta start somewhere <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)"> ...either with a bike or a list, you just happened to start with the list, then the bike, then the money for the list, see n/p. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Bigsaint!
It is a very addictive and downhill path to chose!! Once you pop it is hard to stop! I'm down a Full Hindle system with Ti end can, PC111R, BMC Race filters, Goodridge Kevlar brake lines, HH pads, Dot 5 brake fluid,Crankcase mod, Kleen air removed, Colour matched Ermax rear hugger, Colour matched Bagster luggage, Double bubble tinted screen, 16T front sprocket and various other little mods.
And I'm only a beginner in the mod stakes!! However, it has been worth EVERY penny!! Not that I've counted the cost! (too scary)
When I twist that throttle (Respectfully)!! The smile of satisfaction on my face says it all! You know it makes sense!

Ted

Big 10-4 guys. I'm just window shopping right now, though I do plan on adding a hugger and new tail end this winter. I'll be hard pressed to reach the magic break in miles, depends on how long it takes old man winter to hit.

LOL, on a lighter note...took a ride today on a buddies 2002 Kawa Vulcan 800. Nice ride, scary part is it seemed pretty fast as it's been awhile since I rode. After 2 miles I was leaning and screaming just like I rode yesterday. Looks like I'll have the bike on Thursday, this week, if the weather holds out. Plan on putting some miles on a.s.a.p., if the wife holds out !

Thanks again for a great site and a ton of experience.

Farm Boy,
You are more than welcome, if you need any pics of things, bits and bobs etc, there are lots of us with Digi cams and I'm sure that all the guys and gals will be more than happy to post you some pics.
Bigsaint,
If you thought a VN800 was quick, take real care with the 12! Take your time and learn how to ride it. (Not egg sucking time but, this bike needs a HUGE amount if RESPECT for the throttle). Many have yanked it too hard and have counted the cost! Once you have mastered throttle control. To quote a friend of mine "it really is the most fun you can have with your trousers on!" LOLOL
Regards
Ted
