i used golden spectro synthetic on my gixxer. i was wondering if this oil is ok for use on the 12. what kind of oil do you guys use?

There are numerous posts about oil on this site...Do a search and you will see. There are about as many opinions as there are members here. I use Mobil MX4T. It is expensive, but so what. Plenty of guys use cheaper alternatives and swear by them.

Just put Amsoil full synth 10/40 in mine.Also,the Amsoil filter.Thanks Nebraska.

A good laugh does wonders for the digestive system. Many of the oil threads are an endless source of amusement to me.

A few days ago some guy was giving his recommendation of a oil & was peddling the virtues of the crap that was alleged to have GRAPE JUICE in it.

His version was that the grape juice stayed on the gears longer. He wasn't sure how or why this was done but just knew it was a fact!

I use RedLine 10-40...You think Mobil mx4t makes the engine and trans shifting smooth, try RedLine!!!

The oil seems like its just preference...Just as long as you use a quality synthetic oil everything is fine...Make sure you have at least 2000 miles before putting in synthetics!!!
