I got the most with +5...and lost 3-4 hp with +3...

Hope this helps... I read your post on the yellow box,
but I don't run one...yet...I have a 17t and I feel the
diff...but I hate the higher RPMs out on the highway...

I took a 150 mile ride out to the famlies' ranch, all
open roads, and cruised at 150-160 most of the way,
but I was turn really high RPMs...

I was thinking....where's the overdrive????

Which brings me to my next question...what about running
a 16t on the front, and changing out 6th gear to be
a lot taller....I wonder if anyone has done this???

I'll post the question, because I'd do the 16t but I
need something for the top end...

Interesting idea. Do they make different gears for the gearbox? I don't care about going any faster than 180-185, but it winds up pretty high if you are cruising along at 100+. If it weren't for that, I would gear it down even more.

Someone posted me a response to the taller 6th...

bearracing.com makes them for the 12...I'd love to
go to a 16t with a tall 6th.

Might do it ... if and when I do big bore kit...because
the cases have to be split...lots of work as you know...
